FAQs
Rubber Base is a fortified base coat with a thicker, self-leveling formula that provides structure and flexibility. Lourian®’s tinted versions add color correction and semi-coverage, perfect for quick nude-style applications or as a one-step builder base.
Yes, it can be used on its own. The semi-opaque pigmentation (with optional shimmer or micro-glitter) offers a smooth, natural finish in just two coats. It can also be used under gel color to enhance color payoff and even out the nail bed.
It can be used for short extensions (1–2mm) and soft shaping. For best results, use nail forms or tips to support the structure. For heavy sculpting or long extensions, switch to Lourian® Builder Gels for greater strength.
Not at all. Our glitter-infused formulas are designed with micro-particles that maintain smooth self-leveling and coverage. For best results, apply using float-brushing techniques and avoid overworking to keep glitter evenly distributed.
For healthy nails, Rubber Base can be used directly on the prepped nail. On oily, soft, or damaged nails, applying a thin layer of standard clear base coat first is recommended for better adhesion and wear.
Lourian® Rubber Base is soak-off compatible. Wrap with acetone and cotton for 10–15 minutes to soften and remove. For thicker or structured applications, gently file the surface first to speed up the removal process.
All Lourian® top coats are fully compatible. Use Glossy Top for a clean nude finish, Matte Top for a velvety look, or pair with shimmer Rubber Base + Glossy Top to highlight glitter effects beautifully.
